A packed scrubber is a simple, efficient and flexible means of cleaning the cleaner gases leaving an industrial gas system. Most gas systems contain multiple contaminant types and are typically operated at high temperatures, pressures and flow rates. As well as being simple in concept it is also robust and suitable for use with a wide range of equipment. A packed scrubber can be installed as part of a larger unit (such as a process plant) or specifically for use in connection with a specific process unit to clean its emissions outflow.
